The ability to communicate effectively is vital to the success of any endeavour. Our application of Magical Innovation can make any corporate message memorable and understood by delivering messages in an entertaining way. Magic Management has increased the measurable success of sales and marketing conferences across a wide range of industries.

Our strategies for effective communication can be delivered in an infinite number of ways, from a single chairperson or host to a team of speakers or facilitators. Whatever the brief, our approach always starts the same way, by identifying the key messages to be communicated before designing tailor-made strategies to ensure maximum recall and understanding.

Objectives

Host and compère the annual store managers' conference for a leading UK cosmetics retailer.
Present the inaugural in-house range of products to delegates and outline benefits.
Deliver a motivational session summarising all presentations in the final morning session.

Approach

With over 100 delegates who were not known to each other, we took advantage of the situation to plant our own 'manager' in the audience from the initial registration.

Our conference host welcomed the audience and introduced speakers from head office returning to the podium after each to summarise key points. A guest speaker was listed on the agenda as partner from a leading firm of accountants. He was introduced to speak about "Profits and Stock" but after a few seconds it was clear all was not well. He shuffled his papers, mumbled, shook and stumbled his introduction until our 'manager' started to heckle from the audience. Suddenly you could hear a pin drop…we had everyone's attention. The 'manager' went to the stage and the 'manager' and 'accountant' presented a motivational session built around the key features of the new range of products.

Results

The success of the project was to be judged on the audience's ability to accurately recall six key points from the session. The client's in-house staff magazine ran a competition three months later asking what the six points were. Over 80% of delegates responded. There were NO wrong answers!
